The Catholic Communication Campaign helps the Church spread the Gospel message in the U.S. and in developing countries, using modern media tools to inform, inspire, and enlighten. This year the collection takes place on Sunday, May 17.

Dioceses remit 50% of the funds collected to the National Office. From these funds, grants are made by the USCCB Subcommittee on the Catholic Communication Campaign. Recent initiatives include livestream coverage of the bishops’ meeting twice a year and funding for Catholic News Service Rome for their coverage of the Pilgrims of Hope Jubilee in 2025.

The other half of CCC donations stay in the diocese to support local communications needs, such as radio and television programming and diocesan publications.
